Downsizing Collection

In addition to radios listed on my For Sale pages, radios in my collection are also available for sale. However, they will be sold by offer only. Due to the rarity of certain radios, restrictions apply.

Motorola 5J1U item #1659
Small and cute Motorola Model 5J1U. Black plastic case has lots of scratches and surface marks, a small crack and chip off the back bottom right side, and a small crack on the back cover. When you open the back there are two black pieces that hold the cover to the radio and one is broken off (cover still stays shut). It is in better condition once you open the front cover (pretty sharp looking color contrast). The green plastic grille and knobs are not damaged. I powered it up and the radio is working! The leather handle is intact and the two brass handle hinges need polishing. The Motorola emblem on the front is missing some of the gold paint on the left side. All said this is still a very collectible radio, and with some expert restoration will be a sharp addition to your collection.

$45.00      condition: fair

Chassis - Emerson 652B item #1655
Chassis for an Emerson Model 652 Series B. Looks all original and fairly clean. It works but needs new electrolytics.

$20.00      condition: fair

RCA 3-X-521 item #1654
RCA Model 3-X-521 from 1953. The brown case has no damage and has a nice mottled look to the bakelite. I replaced the electrolytics and it is playing fine. Original knobs, back and label on bottom. This is a nice basic RCA radio without the bells and whistles of more expensive elaborate radios.

$40.00      condition: excellent

Zenith Z519V Clock Radio item #1653
Pretty in pink Zenith Model Z519 clock radio. Case has one small hairline on side but tight, one on top but hardly noticeable, and a few others on bottom mainly due to stress. They do not show and overall the case is still in very good condition. It polished up nicely. The radio and clock are both working. Everything looks original to the radio including the radio and clock knobs, the plastic dial and clock covers (clock and dial face in great condition), back, and label on bottom. The screw holes where the back fastens to the cabinet have some chips.

$40.00      condition: good

GE 431 Musaphonic item #1651
Very nicely styled GE Musaphonic Model 431. Case has two issues - small damage to side and a very small heat damaged spot to ivory grill on top right. Also, crack on plastic dial cover. Radio works and has a phono input on back (for your IPOD etc). Give away price at $25.

$25.00      condition: fair

TraVler T200 item #1648
Sharp design on this TraVler Model T200. Black case has a hairline across one side. Needs polishing. Radio turns on but hums. Worth it for parts or restore.

$20.00      condition: fair

Zenith X164C Clock Radio item #1643
Zenith Model X164C clock radio. Shiny cabinet does not have any cracks, just a few age related surface marks on top. Chassis has new electrolytics and plays fine. Clock works fine also. Nice striking charcoal gray color combination.

$20.00      condition: good

Chassis - Emerson 517 item #1642
Chassis from an Emerson Model 517 "Moderne" radio. Looks all original and working fine without hum.

$25.00      condition: good

Chassis - Admiral 7C63-UL item #1641
This is an Admiral chassis UL-7-C1 taken from a console Model 7C63-UL. The 7 tube chassis (5Y3 rectifier and 6V6 output) is AM/SW and has a record player input. I powered up the chassis and it has a loud hum so needs new electrolytics, but everything underneath looks all original (the plug on the original power cord was changed). Should be a very easy repair. Aside from being dusty, everything looks very good including the original knobs, dial (the escutcheon pictured has been sold). The PM speaker is original to the radio and has a nice heavy magnet and the cone is undamaged. This will make a nice sounding radio once restored and the bonus is that you can play your IPOD, MP3 player etc through the phono input. Everything is included as pictured (except escutcheon).

$40.00      condition: good

Guild Country Belle Music Maid Radio/Intercom item #1639
Here is a very unusual Country Belle Telephone Radio. It is called the Music Maid and it is a Model 665. In addition to the great features of this telephone radio (quality solid wood cabinet, metal earpiece, mouthpiece, brass bells and crank, wooden knobs - all in excellent condition), this model features a 4 station intercom. On the top of the cabinet are 4 switches that control each of the 4 remote speakers (you can use any speaker you want) and there is a master selector switch that allows you to use the radio as an intercom, a radio, or a combination of both. So not only can you call someone remotely on the intercom, but you can play the radio through the remote speakers as well. Everything works just like it should without any problems (no hum from radio so electrolytics are good). Overall condition excellent. A rarity among Country Belle telephone radios.
