Spear-Tone Record Player
item #1421
This is a Spear-tone Model 39 (?) record player. It plays 16, 331/3, 45 and 78 rpm records and has a built-in 45 adapter. It is a single tube amplifier using a 50L6. I repaired the amp and also replaced the cartridge. Sounds pretty good especially on 45's with the cover closed (better fidelity). The front grille cloth is a little torn, the case needs a little cleaning, and you have to jiggle the speed control to set it but other then that it is in good condition. Spear-tone was acquired by the Lionel Train Company in the late 50's and they kept making these recrod players but added their logo to the Spear-Tone name. This is an earlier unit before they acquired the company.

Speaker in great shape.. This is a very small cathedral measuring 11" high x 10" wide x 7" deep. Radio is pictured in Bunis 2nd edition page 16 and had a book value of $195 but that was long ago. Sparton Bluebird Cobalt Mirror Glass Base
item #1353
I have 2 original 1930's vintage pieces of round cobalt glass similar to the glass on the Sparton Bluebird radio (exact match). This makes a perfect base to display your Bluebird radio (see second picture) and was offerred as an option if you purchased the radio. Diameter is 10 1/2 inches. Pictured is the best of the 2 remaining pieces I have - other one has a noticeable chip. Original cobalt glass is extremely rare and hard to find. Put your Bluebird on this base and the value will skyrocket.

Chassis - GE G75
item #1341
This is a chassis from a GE Model G75 console radio. It has 7 tubes including the 6E5 tuning eye tube and receives the broadcast + short wave bands. It also has push buttons to set favorite stations. It is sold untested as I am sure the old electrolytics need replacing and there are some wires where the insulation is crumbling so expect to do some restoration to the chassis before powering it up (also needs to have the dial string restrung but the dial indicator is intact and the tuning condensor moves freely). The original speaker is in good condition with no tears to the cone. The chassis is priced at $30 and the speaker is priced at $20 (see item # 1342) but you can buy them both for $45.
