Downsizing Collection

After many years of collecting radios I have finally run out of room, and that dreaded word "downsizing" has reared its ugly head. Not all my hundreds of prized possessions are for sale, but if you see something you must have please email for a complete description. Then you can decide what you want to pay for it. I will accept offers only. Please do not ask me what I want for it, it is up to you to make an offer. Shipping will be added to the total unless your offer is to good to be true, and in that case shipping is negotiable. Just click on the rectangular button called Collection and make up your wish list. Please remember that my usual For Sale list with descriptions and prices is still functional. Thanks for helping me make my wife happy.

Lafayette KT320 Communications Receiver item #1270
Very nice vintage Lafayette Communications Receiver. The KT320 was a kit version of the HE-30 made by Trio of Japan for Lafayette and was a popular and decent performing receiver introduced in 1961. Transformer operated and single conversion. Covers 550 KC to 30 MC in 4 bands. The bandspread is marked for 80 to 10 meter ham bands. AC power is switchable between 117 volts and 100 volts. Nine tubes including rectifier. Has one RF amplifier stage and two IF stages. A review can be found in QST magazine, November 1961. This one is in very good original condition (the case could use some cleaning). It is working but I would do some routine maintenance on the electronics. It is a heavy set so expect packing/shipping to be $25-30. I will include a copy of the operating manual complete with schematics. Requires external speaker.

Motorola H-393T6 item #1269

Pilot TV-37 item #1258
A fabulous find at a recent auction. This is a Pilot Model TV-37 television made by the Pilot Radio Company. It dates back to 1948. It has a tiny 3" screen. This one is in the best shape I have seen and it is completely original and undamaged. The cabinet and escutcheon should clean and polish up nicely. I took off the cover to examine the 21 tube chassis and it looks nice and clean. The electronics are untouched. I got adventurous and slowly powered it up on my variac and I could hear static in the background that varied as I tuned the receiver. The picture tube is an original 3KP4. I could see that the filament lit up but nothing appeared on the screen but that's not surprising as I am sure the voltages in the set are very low due to the age of the electrolytics etc. There is a possibility that once the electronics are rebuilt, the tv may work again. I don't think you will find a better example of this early TV.
